Formula / Method

Total servings are guests × hours × rate, rounded up. A common rule of thumb is one drink per guest per hour, often a touch higher in the first hour and lower later. Each category is then sized by its normalized share. Conversions assume a beer is one 12 fl oz can or bottle, a 750 ml wine bottle pours about five 5 fl oz glasses, and a 750 ml spirit bottle makes about sixteen 1.5 fl oz cocktails. If your percentages do not sum to 100, the tool normalizes them automatically.
